Should satisfy young teens, but offers nothing new for those who are familiar with the formula.

Audience Member 20 years old already if you can believe it I saw it once and liked it a lot The second time it took away the magic But Frankie Muniz is likable and so is Hilary Duff My first introduction to Angie Harmon too Overall it’s serviceable spy flick for kids Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Not a good movie in general but kids will love it Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/13/22 Full Review red t It isn't that Good. The acting isn't really that good because its marred with subpar dialogue, jokes that fall flat, lack of any chemistry, one dimensional supporting characters and a uninteresting lead. Cody is likeable enough but he doesn't really have any charisma even at the end of the film we becomes more confident and I guess kind of a badass. And really that's the biggest problem with this film is that Frankie doesn't have the charisma or screen presence to win you over on this ridiculous idea. If it were a significantly better actor this would've made quite the difference. Hilary Duff is the best thing as she has charm but she barely says anything and has hardly any character. Everything else is just ok and forgettable. The plot is trying to rip off 007 movies with a kid friendly twist. The CGI on the villain at the end dying is horrific. The other big problem is this is a very dumb idea for a movie as well and should've been more for a Disney Channel sitcom than a feature length film. Honestly it's harmless enough but there really isn't a reason to watch this. Skip it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Clearly released to ride off of Spy Kids' coattails, Agent Cody Banks is a very silly kid-friendly spy film that can't decide whether it wants to be more of a spy spoof or a teen action film with most attempts at humour falling flat but it does have some decent action and production design, the actors are clearly trying to make the movie work and I'll give the movie credit for the surprisingly dark way in which the Big Bad is defeated but it's mostly just a harmless, middle-of-the-road spy film that I won't be recommending to my peers anytime soon. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Its not exactly high class film making or anything but its a decent kids movie with some laughs, nostalgic references to the early 2000s and simple to follow plot. Its not all bad but its not all good either. This movie was riding on the coattails of the whole spy movie craze of the late 90s. Being a spoof film for kids and teens, its very on the nose. Give it a try. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Didn‘t age well. I remembered it differently. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
