Audience Member high school kid inherits a baby while at the supermarket one day. hilarity and contemplation/appreciation for family ensue. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member looking at the super adorable baby boy is enough reason for this many stars :) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review jesse o Your enjoyment of this film will depend entirely on whether or not you think the baby is cute. That's about it really. The movie isn't funny nor is it insightful about how a teen matures when faced with the responsibility of raising a little kid. The idea is good, but the film is concerned more about being cutesy and silly. And it was a terrible mistake, let me tell you that right now. There's also an aspect of Look who's talking here with the baby's thoughts being voiced by an adult. I have no idea why the fuck this was in here, but it was absolutely awful. The moment that shit started happening, I knew there was no hope for this film at all. The first voice-over happens very early on in the film, and I gave up on this film at the same time. The good thing is, the adult voice-overs aren't constant. The "baby" chimes in here and there, but it's still awful. There's also this really annoying know-it-all character that has a crush on the main character. Her "quirkiness" was really fucking annoying. And there's also the fact that, *SPOILER ALERT*, one of the main character's best friends was the one who left the baby for him. He did this because he was poor, working one minimum wage job, and taking care of his sick mother made him decide to leave the baby with his rich friend. And that's a dick move and just poor character development. No matter how poor you are, you shouldn't force that kind of responsibility on someone just because YOU made a mistake. Man up and either take care of the child, or give him up for adoption if you can't afford to take care of your sick mother AND your baby. I realize I'm over-analyzing the film, but it made what had been a sympathetic character into an unlikable one. And don't even get me started on the melodrama. It was, of course, awful and maudlin. I was never moved by any of the events of the film. How about you spend some time ACTUALLY developing these characters before expecting me to give a shit about them? No matter how much a character is crying and how sad the music is in the background, I won't care because the characters are poorly developed. For that scene to mean something, you first have to make your character mean something. It's that simple. Manipulation won't ever be an effective way to tell a story or to create drama. This film is proof of that. So yea this movie is all kinds of awful, I wouldn't watch this movie again even if it meant spending a night with Jennifer Lawrence. Well...I think I could make the sacrifice. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Its a light comedy. Good for a sunday afternoon. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Not much stood out in this movie, save for the beautiful lead girl. The baby parts were funny, but very odd with his voice, as I did not expect it so suddenly. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member An unwanted parenthood comedy as only Koreans could make it! Funny and emotional at the same time, and shows the transformative power of parenthood. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
