Kevin Maher Times (UK) The ending is preposterously shoddy, typical of a film that is mostly, yes, agony. Rated: 1/5 Jun 14, 2021 Full Review Phuong Le Guardian It's a shame that, for all of its unnerving tonal registers, not to mention a gorgeous score, Agony winds up with a painfully predictable ending. Rated: 2/5 Jun 8, 2021 Full Review Alexa Dalby Dog and Wolf Unfortunately, titling a film Agony invites facetious comments about what it feels like to have to watch it. Rated: 2/5 Jun 26, 2021 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Michele Civetta's début has all the elements of the Gothic in their proper places, with a hint of giallo, but there is simply no narrative glue to hold them together. Rated: 2/5 Jun 14, 2021 Full Review Lorry Kikta Film Threat It is an essential watch for anyone who loves haunted castles, psychic visions, and familial curses.
