Audience Member A liberal, bourgeois African-American look at the 20th-century history of African-American opera singers that (necessarily, outrageously) only gets to the great Paul Robeson near the end, and then abruptly flees from him, no doubt because he's too powerful, too powerful a personality and too powerful a communist (communism being, among other things, the only true anti-racism).
