Audience Member I've seen part of the anime series and gosh, I tried so hard to like it, but the animation alone scared me off. (There are anime eyes and then there are EYES!!!) This however was much better drawn and I was sucked in to giving it a try. Yay that I did!! It's fun! And interesting, and doesn't lose a morsel of the emotion or energy of the series! How does it do that?! Ah, but it will make you cry so use caution, and good nose wipers, when you watch it! (I do really wish someone could go back in time and kick the bums of the monks who put that ugly curse on her, I mean really?! you bastards!) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member it's better than the TV adaptation by a country mile, but the plot of this classic visual novel still doesn't translate well to non-interactive media, no matter what the fangirls say Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member interesting use of white canvas to create glare and vivid flowing animated "wind" from all the blowing leaves/petals/anything-you-can-find. i wish it had loads more character development in this parallel tales that blur the line (and viewers) between tragic myth & hapless life. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Kind of weird and sad. Misuzu's carrying a course; well, somehow she's like an incarnation of Kana a semi-angel kind of being. she can't love, doing it means a painful and slow death. She puts everything aside and don't care how much pain she's going through, she carries on to love those ones around her till the very end and in the process dying in a painful slow agony. It basically tells you, you only have one life to live, and whether you're in pain, feeling lost, unaccomplished, dying like Misuzu none of that matter, don't put those things for excuse to not keep fighting, to do better, to enjoy every second you have breathing, to go farther than your own strengths allow you to. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is beautifully animated and the story is touching. I actually prefered this to the television series. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member The series was much better, but this feature length is still worth seeing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
