A pedestrian sci-fi jaunt that brings nothing new to the table. Go to Full Review

Dramatic tension can swiftly be undermined when you're watching invincible characters battle it out. In Motohiro's less accomplished hands, Ajin: Demi-Human just feels repetitive and unfocused. Go to Full Review

There are enough twists and turns to keep one engaged and the good news is that they feel organic to the fantasy world conjured up here. Go to Full Review

Suspense fills every minute, making this movie one of the best Japanese manga-adapted action films I have ever watched. Go to Full Review

08/21/2020 Huge fan of the series and live-adaptation didn't disappoint at all. It:s like old guard mixed with Jojo's bizarre adventure. Bit surprised how actioned-packed this is! And the action sequences are remarkable. Aftet the movie I read that the same team for the Samurai X trilogy were behind it, so that made sense! My only concern is Sato (which is the greatest villain next to Dio Brando) is quite young, should have casted an older actor, but come to think of all the action required from him, perhaps a younger actor was needed. See more 10/24/2017 An above-average manga/anime adaptation, with surprisingly complex characters who aren't just black and white. Action sequences are exciting and the twists to do with their powers are clever. But does no one find bad guys who feel the need to over-explain everything they're doing as annoying as I do?
