We see some beautiful people in a dreary town doing a lot of acting, but without actually immersing us in any semblance of authenticity. Go to Full Review

Overall it's a cute film that loses steam in the midsection, as it does veer a little too much into melodramatic territory that never quite figures out how to ground itself. Go to Full Review

If you're starved for some queer film and have a few bucks to drop on a rental, this isn't a bad way to go. Go to Full Review

Akron, the minimalistic yet affecting indie drama, is titled after the fifth largest city in Ohio, which is of course the setting of this poignant little film about family, young love and ghosts from the past. Go to Full Review

Terrance M Nov 7 Good movie but the ending definitely could’ve been longer. See more Fred H 12/03/2024 The story of Benny and Christopher is touching, especially as their families navigate a shared tragedy and learn to accept their relationship. While the acting isn’t exceptional, it doesn’t detract from the emotional impact of the story. The film excels in portraying the quiet beauty of connection and reconciliation, making it a poignant and worthwhile watch. Def deserve a watch. See more Philip W 09/01/2024 Beautiful people with beautiful small-town lives until... Nicely written, with some gaps in the stream of consciousness. The storyline is obvious, which is usually a bad thing but not in this case. It's as if the author respects us to not be formulaic. More like a Hallmark Channel presentation. See more J G 12/16/2023 I liked the story. Thought it was very well done for a small studio production See more PridePosterStudios 09/20/2023 Sure, the main source of conflict has nothing to do with the main couples’ homosexuality…but the actual cause for complications is just…ludicrous. See more Chris N @chr1sn0rth 07/27/2023 It worked for a while. But the handbrake turn in the last five minutes didn't work on any level: that ending needed another 20 minutes to pull off.
