Katherine G Too corny. There are lots of other movies to watch about a young girl coming to Hollywood. Don't bother with this one. Rated 2.5/5 Stars •  Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/19/24 Full Review Dallas H Way before Mulholland Drive (2001) and La La Land (2016), we had this movie, Alice in Movieland. I liked this movie; it's short and straight to the point. It's odd how it can easily be viewed as an early influence on the two films, as mentioned earlier, despite being completely different viewpoints about breaking into the movie business. However, I am surprised to hear one of the co-writers of its script is none other than famed television host Ed Sullivan.
