I was a lifelong fan of the Alien franchise, but haven't kept up with the latest installments and have come to the conclusion only Alien and Aliens were good films. Be that as it may, I still stop to look when I see there's a new Alien movie, and when I saw Alien Domicile looking out at me from the shelf, I thought, "I don't remember this one... Oh, it is one of those Alien vs Predator films, based on the cover." Then I looked closer at the cover and realized this wasn't an official Alien movie. They made an attempt to make it look like Alien and Predator, hoping you wouldn't notice before you paid for it. I couldn't resist what promised to be a shitty horror film. I knew what I was potentially getting into, but I was hoping it would be "so bad it's good." Unfortunately it was so bad it went past good and went back to being bad. The story doesn't make much sense. We don't know how these people have ended up on the military base (that looks more like a high school basement), the flashback/flash forwards/flash sideways are confusing. Flat acting. Crappy "special" effects. There are plants with no payoffs (the retired military guy drops his key card, the camera lingers on it, it never appears again in the plot). The alien moves too much like a human to be scary. Also, when they first showed it, I just laughed and said, "That looks nothing like the aliens on the cover!" One of the few laughs I got out of this. Basically this is a shitty movie some cynical people slapped together to trick vendors and customers into thinking it was a new installment in the Alien franchise. Their business model is based on disappointment.

The 2 "alien" mascots on the cover ARE NOT IN THE MOVIE. Its just cheesy glowing eye humanoid monsters, and you never know what's going on the entire movie, and there's plenty of plot armor. I'm so disappointed because i thought this was a name brand ALIEN movie.

This is a movie that gave more questions than answers and was pretty misleading too. It didn't feature either of the aliens on the cover (and my family has thought it was connected to the series; Alien) but instead some creepy pasta looking half baked monster. This was disappointing and seriously not worth wasting time or money for; no wonder I didn't hear about this last year when it came out, it's HORRIBLE.They hardly explain any of what's actually going on. So many big questions left unanswered because the plot was trash and as Nigel says; it lacks narrative punch. It's very convoluted, not only that but one of the scenes the one guy drops his keycard.... all of us thought it was going to be useful and that they had to get it back later on or something but NOPE. Likely it also has lots o... shall we say, mistakes for lack of a better term? I'm pretty sure military facility would have keycard security measures. They barely had any supplies and that's not how it would be on a military base. They also didn't give us a reference point for time.Overall, I don't know why I'm bothering to write a review. But either which way, don't watch it, don't waste your time.

Don't let the title fool you - this is not part of the Alien franchise made famous by Ridley Scott. Clearly the producers are hoping to make money off of brand confusion. Heck, even the movie's titling kinda looks like that found in the genuine Alien movies.
The acting is horrible, the dialogue boring, the costumes newly purchased off of Amazon.com (the work boots are fresh off the showroom floor), and the set is entirely filmed within the same few rooms and lone corridor within a vacated industrial-ish location.
First the lights are on, then off, they go up the stairs, then down, then back down a hallway only to return..... The location monotony is broken by a lone elevator, but only slightly. And the same pseudo scary soundtrack plays on an endless loop for the entire duration of the movie.
After an agonizing hour of tediousness culminating in a laughable struggle of survival with a humanoid Alien the last person standing manages to pop out of a man hole into daylight.
We are then treated to a flash forward to a hospital where they drop the mic on us: she is an alien too. Oh. My. Gosh. Deep stuff.....

Everything the other reviews said was 100% accurate as well as the photo on the main menu doesn't look anything like the aliens in the movie. Trust me, the most exciting part of the movie will be returning it. And I want those two hours off my life back.

I only started watching this because I thought it was an actual "Alien" franchise movie... I couldn't have been more wrong. Within the first few moments of the movie you can tell how poorly it is done. The acting was straight up monotone... The "fight" sences really are some of the wrost I have ever seen. Wasn't even the slightest bit of being scary. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this movie, unless you enjoy a terrible movie that tries to be a good one and fails 100%. Worst Red box I have ever seen.
