Josh H I mean, if you want to watch a low budget, completely unrealistic, bad continuity, terribly acted movie then this is definitely the one for you. For some reason immediately outside of Washington DC it's like total rural sparsely populated. The cars at times have California plates on them, then a random white box edited onto the plate over the word California. I don't think they tried to be realistic at all with the SFX because it's so so terribly done. The acting isn't at all believable and the whole aliens with shields that stop bullets but fireworks can kill them or you can stab their neck is just ridiculous. If you plan on just having this run in the background then put it on. If you actually plan on paying attention even remotely, then give it a miss. I think this is the worst film I have ever seen. The acting was dreadful - I suppose fake tears must cost the same amount as gold because the actors didn't even have those. Reactions were delayed - when the bomb explodes as the Colonel jumps into the portal towards the end, it takes a solid second until the President reacts by jumping backwards. The CGI was certainly there but I wish it wasn't. The final ‘alien' looked like something from a 2007 PS2 game, and on top of that, none of the actors even seemed scared. The continuity was non-existent - the soldier says the teleport has symbols, when it's really just a lightening rod. One woman alternates between limping and forgetting to. It's terrible. It's so bad. Please watch this. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/09/23 Full Review Chris M Might be one of the corniest films ever made. So bad. I almost vomited when the president made his speech. Perhaps though, it was the town supposedly in Connecticut that looked more like somewhere in the Southwest that put me off. Or could it be the chees special effects, or could it be the bad acting. Gee it's hard to pin it down. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
