I LOVED this movie. Start to finish, all the ups and downs. The stop motion style is reminiscent of claymation and very nostalgic. The storyline is beautiful and a great message for people of all ages. I am a teacher, and my 1st, 4th, and 7th graders all loved it!! I can see why it has 100% critic rating. Whether adults sans kids, parents, or kids! Grab some popcorn and enjoy!!!

You can feel the inspiration from so many wonderful sources! There are moments reminiscent of Tim Burton, some music that feels very Danny Elfman, and some more unexpected inspirations like Invader Zim and Mars Attacks. The story is reasonably simple but also sweet and silly, perfect for the intended audience (my ten year old boy LOVES it). The artwork throughout goes from impressive to incredible. The set and prop design really steals the show. I can't praise it enough. I was really delightfully surprised at how good it was. This is going to be a new Christmas tradition for sure!

A wonderful commentary on contemporary attitudes to consumerism, capitalistic notions of ownership, and - ultimately - empathy. A relevant and insightful twist on a rote formula, "Alien Xmas" is a true gift to anyone lucky enough to stumble across it.
