Audience Member Wow, really great documentary about a midwife in Georgia in the 1950s. Complete with a full home birth - with every detail shown. It's a bit of info-film for new mothers to learn about how to prepare for having a healthy baby without too much preachiness. Found at the Multnomah Library. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This was interesting because of its place - both historical and geographical. The comments in the special features were also interesting. don't watch if you can't handle seeing child birth. I wasn't comfortable with the underlying race questions - white doctors and black midwives and patients - but again, for its time and place I thought the movie was respectfully done.
