Audience Member Godfried van Bouillon! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the best Dutch movies for sure! The story is about a group of friends with all different lives, but for the past 15 years they are playing soccer as a team each Sunday. They're all changing, and when their 500th game is coming, surprising secrets are revealed. Now it's all again in the spotlights, because one of the main characters, played by Antonie Kamerling, killed himself. I was deeply shocked by this message. I decided to look up 'All Stars' again, I saw the first part years ago, but couldn't remember much from it. I was curious because most of the Dutch people say it's a very good movie. Well, they're right for sure! I love this movie, while I don't even have something with soccer. I'm a girl! The story and all the characters are very identifiable and I think that's what people like so much about this movie. There are funny moments, where I laughed my ass off, but there are also many sad moments, where I felt like I had a lump in my throat. The combination between the drama and the comedy is exactly right. Actually the describing here on Flixster giives away too much, I recommend to change it :) Some acting was great, some was very shitty. I liked the acting of Danny de Munk, Antonie Kamerling, Daniel Boissevain (wow what a gorgeous man!), Daphne Deckers and Isa Hoes. The music in the whole movie could have been better, but what I have to mention is Hero's single 'Toen Ik Je Zag' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADFTOCN5ZRY). A brilliant song with great lyrics. It surprises me that Dutchmen made this. This song gives me the creeps, that's how beautiful I think it is. All in all this film is VERY(!) much of a recommend! Especially for the Dutchies! And may Antonie Kamerling rest in peace.. it's so terrible what happened to him. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
