Critics Consensus

Elevated by the sparky chemistry between Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots, All of You's sci-fi hook and tearjerker trajectory aren't always a perfect match but do yield a romance to remember.

'All of You'’s science fiction concept more or less fades away and the film becomes a familiar drama of yearning and forbidden love, albeit one played with enough sincerity and easy chemistry to stay reasonably compelling for a while. Go to Full Review

All Of You might only work for some of you, but the easy, insatiable fire between Goldstein and Poots is undeniable. Go to Full Review

'All of You' sounds a little corny. It’s not. It’s a serious romantic drama, featuring two adult characters who don’t always behave well, who betray themselves and others, who sometimes don’t know what they want or need. Go to Full Review

Goldstein and Poots skillfully sustain a plot that never delves into the ethical or emotional consequences of the experiment it proposes. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Jenn Sep 29 I wanted to like this so much more than I did. The logic problem (why aren't they already together? why does she want to take the soulmate test at a young age?) begins at the beginning and it doesn't get better. It ends where I thought it would, but I don't feel better for the journey. See more anna Sep 27 The film was cinematic heaven. It'll leave you asking yourself "would I? wouldn't i?" See more Wayne M 1d All of You is a tender and caring romantic comedy that doesn't offer anything especially new or original but is done in such a way that it is an enjoyable experience. The film is set-in modern-day London and we meet Simon and Laura, who are friends from university. Laura takes a test run by Soul Connex that purports to find your true soulmate. Simon is sceptical and doesn't take the test. Laura is matched with Lukas and soon they are married and start a family. Over the course of a decade, we check in with Simon and Laura. There is unrequited love there, especially from Simon. It's done with care and attention and it's easy see that the two could have been together, but also that it is a true friendship. The film is elevated by the chemistry between the lead actors in Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots. They are both quite fine. The film therefore is a very easy and nice watch, even if we have seen this sort of film before. See more Nathan J. @TribianiRamoray 2d Rating: 6.5/10 A well-acted, visually polished drama with a complex exploration of love, relationships, and commitment. Highlights - Strong Performances: Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots deliver natural chemistry. - Intimate Atmosphere: Director William Bridges creates a smooth, intimate storytelling experience. - Thought-Provoking Themes: Explores the limitations of technology in understanding human relationships. Criticisms - Romanticization of Infidelity: The plot centers on emotional infidelity, potentially undermining marriage sanctity. - Selfish Characters: Simon and Laura's actions can be seen as selfish and lacking boundaries. - Pacing Issues: Middle act drags with repetitive longing scenes. Verdict All of You is a technically proficient film with a complex moral landscape. While it avoids destructive clichés, its exploration of relationships may not resonate with everyone, particularly those valuing traditional marriage. See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Dec 2 All of You aims to be a romantic drama but quickly becomes bogged down by excessive dialogue and little genuine story development. Imogen Poots struggles in her role, lacking chemistry with her male co-star, making emotionally charged scenes feel flat and forced. The screenplay relies too heavily on exposition, repeatedly telling us how characters feel rather than showing it, which stalls the plot and diminishes emotional impact. The direction attempts to unify these elements but is uneven, with pacing issues and mismanaged scenes. Brief glimpses of vulnerability and personal growth appear but are poorly integrated. Overall, the film may appeal to fans of dialogue-heavy romances, but the weak performances, uneven direction, and static screenplay make it a frustrating watch for those seeking genuine connection and compelling storytelling. See more Amy C Dec 1 This is such a realistic portrayal of love and loss. The emotions, the guilt, the torment are all true. I found the confusion of Laura understandable and the heartbreak Simon deals with authentic and believable. I felt drawn to these characters and believed in their love. A tragedy, hard to watch and hard to let it go. See more Read all reviews
