Joe Friar Fort Worth Report Melissa Barrera delivers an emotional and honest performance supported by a strong cast. The story segues into melodrama a few times, but the heartfelt film clearly depicts the struggle of opioid abuse from a fresh perspective, women in Latino communities. Rated: 3/4 Apr 1, 2023 Full Review Peter Gray The AU Review The film is proof that cycles can be overcome and that self-destruction doesn’t always have to result in fatal failure. A wake-up call to society. Rated: 4/5 Mar 17, 2023 Full Review Jared Mobarak Hey, Have You Seen ...? The second half is thus where the film shines. Those glimpses into the past solidify into memories, the generational trauma and economic strife showing just how quickly someone can get caught in a systemically broken cycle of poverty and addiction. Rated: 7/10 Mar 17, 2023 Full Review Julian Roman MovieWeb Melissa Barrera stuns as a desperate young mother struggling with opiates addiction and generational instability. All the World is Sleeping gives no easy answers in a powerfully dramatic film with heavy themes. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 15, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

rye A movie that asks you to walk in the shoes of someone else and to feel their experiences. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/18/23 Full Review Jon Paul Powerful story and journey of women battling addiction—Amazing performances all around! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/22/23 Full Review BallisticzsGaming R All the World is Sleeping is a psychological drama that shows the effects of addiction and how it can affect not only someone's life but the people around that one person. In this movie, Melissa Barrera plays a mother that struggles with opioid addiction and we see her struggle to take care of her daughter after getting high and this movie tries to show how someone's mind can be affected while on substances and trying to get psychological which is something new and different for a movie that deals with addiction and I feel like it was a creative way to enhance the story, make it intriguing, and maybe show the reality of what the mindset is like while on these drugs. I only say maybe because I don't know what it is like. But Melissa Barrera in this movie was incredible, she continues to prove how amazing of an actress she truly is. My only tiny nitpick is I wish we got to see more into the past of Chama and what she's been through. Overall, All the World is Sleeping is a powerful movie about addiction that shows the mindset of someone who is struggling with addiction, while also showing the mindset through rehab and seeking help. Melissa delivers such a powerful performance that carries this whole movie. All the World is Sleeping gets a B+. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
