Donald Clarke Irish Times Once again, we are reminded of the way that the US manages to defang, monetise and institutionalise its own initially thrilling subcultures. Rated: 4/5 Aug 8, 2014 Full Review Simon Crook Empire Magazine Candid and clear-eyed, this doc will wow boarding fans but has something to offer to the unconverted too. Mault CineVue All This Mayhem captivates not only in its energetic style of storytelling, but also thanks to the charisma that exudes from the mouth of Tas as he honesty tells his side of this doomed Shakespearean tale. Nigel S Way over-rated documentary full of amateur juvenile video footage..... Vaguely interesting about the history of skate-boarding. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/11/24 Full Review Jeremy R Australian skateboard royalty… it's a tough history that I'm glad Tas can share. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty rad doc. Is that right? Pretty groovy doc. Nah I think skating is prob rad, let's stick with rad. These kids are jackass but really good at skating. Then it goes downhill. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Slapped-together production with a weighty, tragic hook. A cautionary tale about what entitlement mixed with lack of focus and consideration can do. The intelligent, kind skaters like Hawk seem to be the ones who rise to the top, leaving those jerky, self-absorbed ones like the Pappas brother stuck in drugs and denial, trying to justify their failures by saying they were screwed over by the skate industry. Misguided and poorly researched, though it includes an engaging human story of brotherhood and loss. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Really sad history of skateboarding! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Kids from a clearly unsettled home turn out to be amazingly talented skaters..but add chemicals and big egos to the mix, and things implode. I had never heard of the Brothers, so watched the film as a non skater, crazy story, tragic in places. [won't do a spoiler for those who don't know the Brothers] Very poignant in places too...
