葆 葆 Is this a psychedelic movie? I'm afraid. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A damn funny movie that I tend to watch quite a bit! I haven't seen a Chinese New Year Comedy released in a while that has the magic that this does, with the amazing Chow Sing Chi in top form and his female equivalent, Sandra Ng almost stealing the show. The late, great, Leslie Cheung and Teresa Mo play off each other better than most of the latest comedy duo's have tried to, and the gorgeous Maggie Cheung puts Chow through some mental issues with her obsession of living as the latest pop culture icon (one minute Madonna, the next Pretty Woman). It's about love, it's about family, it's about laughing! Get it now and wet yourself... Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Good quality comedy. It's partially ludicrous Naked Gun style (even stealing a joke from Police Squad the Naked Gun TV show from about 1980) and the other half is like a character story more like Judd Apatow.

It's proudly a movie made celebrating 1992 (references the recent blockbusters) so for what that's worth, you be the judge.

Excellent performances by the main stars
- Sandra Ng impresses...in fact this could be the role of her career
- Maggie Cheung has, like, the best DNA on planet earth with impossible beauty and impeccable acting
- Teresa Mo is one of the funniest females in cinematic history though not given good enough material here to shine as she did in Magnificent Scoundrels - this movie is played a lot more real in the non-Stephen Chow scenes.
- Leslie Cheung easily owns his relatively small role too (top billed due to popularity)
- Stephen Chow has made a name for himself as a leading man in several movies in just 3 years at this point, but it's here that he steals the show every moment like a Jim Carrey -- without him the movie would've been damn weak. here you can see that he's not just a recent fad. he's destined to be the chinese comic actor of the decade and more Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member the best CNY movies of all!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member a never-be-forgotten Hk comedy classic with the talented cast and smooth never-gets-old jokes. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Great lineup of actors and actress. Still he's my favourite, Stephen Chow. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
