Chris Knight National Post The rest of the film, including an oddly, unsatisfyingly sudden ending, fails to find traction. Rated: 2/5 May 21, 2024 Full Review John Townsend Starburst Easy to imagine that upon conception was an intelligent, thoughtful horror-thriller.... Whether during the development process or through production that movie became lost, hidden behind clichéd melodrama, leaving only remnants of what could have been. Rated: 2/5 May 21, 2024 Full Review Derrick Pittman But Why Tho? A Geek Community Fans of survival horror and zombie horror will enjoy Alone and possibly relate to surviving and coping through a pandemic. Rated: 7/10 Apr 11, 2023 Full Review Kat Hughes THN With Final Days riddled in cliches and stereotypes it is hard to believe that it stems from the same source material as the vastly superior #Alive. Rated: 2/5 Apr 7, 2021 Full Review Kevin Wight The Wee Review A toothless American version of a film that itself is no more than mildly diverting, Final Days is likely to come and go largely unnoticed. Rated: 2 Apr 7, 2021 Full Review Anne Brodie What She Said [Alone] with its contemporary vibe, resonates; a life-changing virus is familiar territory, and Posey - Teen Wolf! - and Sutherland are working it, but a zombie film is just a zombie film, with a pandemic nod. Matthew B If I'm not mistaken this film is brought to us by the co-writer of "#Alive", it is the American adaptation of the same source material. Although seemingly much lower in budget, this film hits most of the same beats #Alive does and does it almost as effectively. It has to be said that this version does a handful of things differently than its sibling, and I enjoyed these changes quite a lot. For starters, the infected in this version are alive rather than undead, and they even retain some level of intelligence. They know how to speak, screaming things such as "kill me", "let me in" or "come here". This is can be extremely unsettling and I quite like the atmosphere this movie builds using the infected screams and pleads for death as background ambience. The infected even seem to have the ability of loose strategy, with a couple crawling up into the ventilation system and into other apartments to find fresh victims. This is something you rarely see in zombie movies. Our two main protagonists also live closer than the ones in the Korean version, making it SLIGHTLY easier for them to communicate and exchange items. Is this movie tacky? yeah. Is it (AT TIMES) poorly acted? also yes. But the film does its best with what it has and doesn't deserve the overly negative reviews. #Alive is superior but this movie has enough different ideas to merit its own existence in my opinion. The absolute worst part of this experience was the extremely abrupt ending. This COULD be forgiven if we are to assume our protagonists meet the same fate as the ones in the Korean version, that being saved by the military... but either way the ending comes across as extremely lazy. It's almost as if they unexpectedly ran out of money to film last second and just had to cut things short. But other than that, decently entertaining zombie movie. Just be sure to also watch #Alive, it's an excellent film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/04/24 Full Review Omar S I can’t even watch the whole thing, I’m sorry this movie is truly bad Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/20/24 Full Review Mariam B Pointless movie, completely terrible ending, not even a good story Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/12/24 Full Review James K I absolutely loved this movie. And Tyler Posey is so damn talented and sexy. And I don't care what anyone else thinks especially critics. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/25/23 Full Review Yudha S Above Trash......... Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/28/23 Full Review guilherme r Great actor but the movie was weak, with current technology the movie should have been better, even the 90's zombie movies are scarier.
