Christy Lemire FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) A trippy little thriller that accomplishes a lot with a little. Feb 24, 2022 Full Review Tomris Laffly RogerEbert.com A poor mans version of She Dies Tomorrow, with some David Lynch clumsily mixed in. Rated: 1.5/4 Feb 4, 2022 Full Review Lena Wilson New York Times The whole third act — including the “why” behind all this terror — falls apart. Feb 3, 2022 Full Review Jason Delgado Film Threat The majority of Alone With You centers on Bennett, who delivers. Her emotional range from boredom to desperation and to fear is outstanding. Rated: 7/10 Mar 29, 2022 Full Review Christian Valentin Spectrum Culture With all the thematic and narrative breadth of a horror short, Alone with You painfully stretches its scares to the point of repetitive frustration. Mar 21, 2022 Full Review Steven Prokopy Third Coast Review A worthy and unnerving debut effort, well worth seeking out. Rated: 3/4 Feb 10, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Jeffrey P Being alone with the characters in this might warrant horrors, just not the ones in this movie. It does get better and creepy in the final 30 minutes but it's too little, too late to redeem the first hour. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/26/23 Full Review bill p Somewhere between trippy psychological thriller and performance art, this thing is...interesting? Emily Bennet (co writer and director) does a great acting job in this almost one-woman show but outside of a surface plot - she's deeply in love but it's not going well - you have no idea of what's happening, or what's happened, since the film plays with time and space and maybe reality. There's plenty of "stuff" there if you want to interpret but it's so spacy that any interpretation would be fine. I think the answer to the question, "what is this film about?" is completely open. If all this makes it sound more interesting than it is, well, it's less interesting than that. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review julien e A perfectly distorted spiral that unfolds in an unknown geometry where time disintegrates leaving the viewer disoriented as they become horrifyingly familiar with the characters. Subtlety drips from every intentional choice provoking tension unlike anything before it, until both subtlety and tension are a puddle in the sand. Expressionism done brilliantly. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Just meh, it was intense for a bit then fizzled out for me Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/24/22 Full Review Read all reviews
