Josh Bell Crooked Marquee Writer-director Jan Miller Corran tries to create an empowering story of female bonding and sexual awakening, but the dialogue is full of overexplained self-help platitudes, and the stars have minimal romantic chemistry. Portia G Just discovered this little comedy gem. Cathy DeBuono is outstanding as quirky and lovesick Wanda. What an adventure she takes Mary Beth on and, yes, in the end, she gets the girl.
