s r John Henry wasn't one of the originals, but I guess it's alright. Pecos Bill should have been included!!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member While they aren't some of Disney's best shorts and I actually feel that compared to Pixar shorts and the classic Mickey/Donald/Goofy cartoons, the cartoons are quite forgettable, American Legends is still a pretty good compilation with shorts that have well-drawn animation, committed voice acting and good songs that have aged remarkable well. Oh, and you have James Earl Jones as the host. Who can say no to him as the host? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member I love the Disney film American legends. I used to have the vhs tape of the movie back when I was younger. There is so many memories of watching it a lot. I grew up with it. Basically itâ(TM)s a Disney movie that has the live action introductions with James earl jones and it has all 4 of the shorts of all the western characters from way, way back. The western characters feature John Henry, Casey Jones, Paul banyan and Johnny Appleseed. I love all those western characters who are the American legends. American legends is such a great movie. And I really enjoy seeing James earl jones in the introductions scenes. I want to get the dvd of the film on the amazon website. I enjoy it a lot. Of all the shorts the John Henry cartoon is more modern and the other 3 are really old classic shorts. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member 140810: Knew a little bit about these stories and now I can say I've heard this version. Short and very simple (basic) animated film. Not a movie. Will likely never revisit and will make no effort to show it to my son. He's not American and I imagine it helps to be when viewing.
