Alright, boys, American Pie is like a rookie party—crude, chaotic, and full of moments you’ll never forget (even if you wish you could). This ‘90s classic is packed with legendary one-liners, awkward teenage shenanigans, and enough wild moments to rival a beer league road trip. The characters are beauty—Stifler is the ultimate chirper, Jim’s dad drops wisdom like a veteran coach, and the band camp jokes? Iconic. Sure, some of the humour hasn’t aged well, but it’s still good for a few laughs, especially with the boys after a game. Typical teenage coming of age, I see why it's a classic. I thought the premise was a bit much and cheesy, but the execution was light hearted enough and the characters were likeable enough. The final "lessons" the characters realize are good ones (spoiler: that we don't need to give in to the pressure, that things don't have to be perfect, that your time spent is important so choose wisely how you spend/who you spend with) and I think are well wrapped up in this teenage rom-com. I like the weight that the female characters bring to the storylines.
