Firstly, they are all too old for acting as high school kids. It's really not that funny and the script is pretty horrible. Off course teenagers would like it, but I certainly do not. It's so brainless.

"And this one time, at band camp..." American Pie re-launched the raunchy teen comedy, and delivered a hilarious yet touching coming of age tale. The story follows a group of high school friends that pledge to lose their virginity before they graduate, and the shenanigans that they get into along the way. The film has an all-star cast that includes Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Alyson Hannigan, Tara Reid, and Mena Suvari. The performances are very strong, and feel genuine. Additionally, the soundtrack is especially good and is used quite effectively. However, there are a few parts of the film that don't work and some of the humor hasn't aged well. Raunchy comedy is a hard genre to pull off, but American Pie does a great job at delivering the laughs and developing interesting characters.

American Pie is a hilarious film that is one of the best high school movies I can think of. The story is about 4 friends who make a pact to get laid before their senior year of college ends. The plot was not really interesting persay, but it reminds us of high school and all our horny dumbass friends that were hoping to get laid, and it was one of the closest interpratations of high school that I can think of. The cast is hilarious, these guys were born to play these roles and they truly were some of the funniest retards that I have seen in a coming of age film, but the show stealers were probably Jason Biggs, Sean William Scott, and Eugene Levy. The comedy on a scale from 1 to 10 was about an 8, mostly because I found it hilarious but it was a little less funny the last half hour of the film, at least for me. American Pie was one film that spawned multiple sequels, and i'm finally glad after the years I finally saw this hilarious comedy.

"American Pie" sure got some nice funny elements. My fav character would be Paul Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) who unexpectedly meets Stiffler's Mom. There is another scene that is funny but also kinda drags on when Jim (Jason Biggs) gets humilated on the internet for jacking off to quickly with a hot frisky Czhech girl. Ouch.
