Patrick S "Among the Living" has its moments, but its world isn't fleshed out enough. And the little sister character is a complete idiot. They keep it near and dear, and it's devastating. The acting is first rate across the board, and the writing superb. I was kind of rolling my eyes, oh no, another zombie movie, but it's a work of art of the highest order. I'm stunned and deeply moved. Dean Michael Gregory is a great actor, and the writer/director is a genius.
