      Audience Member The structure of the narrative got quite samey over the 4 hours of watching it, but I really felt the old, familiar feeling of being in a family under a proud and emotionally cramped patriarch, full of love, battles, and the empathetic way of mollifying the stubborn ones who rule with an iron fist but are broken on the inside. Some of the family left, some remained loyal... The characters were very well illuminated. Myself, I wanted to know more about the sister who was still single at the end of the piece. I get the feeling this was based on a great book - I see that it is - I think I will have to read it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
