Adventurous young woman Henny (Elfi Eschke) is terrified of living in a small town for the rest of her life. So when the time comes for her to marry her longtime fiancé and settle down, she flees the wedding instead. After checking into a hotel in Vienna, she surmises that her best bet for survival is to marry a rich man. While her sojourn doesn't go quite as she planned, she does find romance in the form of browbeaten Siegfried (Andreas Vitasek), a man with his own conjugal issues.
