Synopsis
Filmed over the course of one year, this documentary follows 12-year-old Miguel Chavez, his siblings and their father as they go about their lives in the shadow of New Mexico's Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Miguel yearns to join his father and brothers as a shepherd and carry on the Chavez legacy, but is told he's still too young. When he's not playing with his younger sister or helping care for newborn sheep, Miguel tries to show his father how strong and capable he is.
