Nostalgic movie from the 90's back in the day. A cute movie set in the 60's in a New England town I believe that it is based on a true story. I believe at the end of the movie they show real clips of Andre and family. A girl and a seal become friends I have not seen this movie in a while I should watch it again. Go watch this movie and give it some love 3 stars. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member It's pretty much "Flipper", but with a sea lion. Jonathan Romney Guardian Smaller children will love it, but adults may find themselves yearning for a Canadian Club on the rocks. Mar 1, 2024 Full Review Geoff Brown Times (UK) Andre should satisfy the young set. George Miller, director of The Man from Snow River, strains no muscle, but packages the true story well. Mar 1, 2024 Full Review Philip French Observer (UK) It's as wholesome as white, sliced bread with added preservative, but somewhat offensive in the way the seal is turned into a performer. Mar 1, 2024 Full Review Jas Keimig The Stranger (Seattle, WA) Obviously playing off the popularity of movies like Free Willy, this film is waaaay less fun and iconic, opting for a goopy sentimentality that feels instantly forgettable. Feb 2, 2022 Full Review Owen McNally Hartford Courant The photogenic, agile seals, in fact, steal the show from the biped actors, including even veteran David Carradine.
