Test T I like action sci-fi movies so when I found this on DVD recently I thought I'd give it a go. My first impression was that although this film looks like it was made on a modest budget, it seems to be punching well above it's weight, so I continued to watch. The buddy chemistry between Hammond and the Android Cop develops well, and of course there's a police sargent and a mayor interfering as you'd expect. As the story builds, we realise that life has become more complicated in the future, and we have several categories of robot/human hybrid to consider alongside ordinary people. Interesting ideas abound, albeit some more original than others, but at least the viewer has plenty to think about which I found stimulating. Without ruining the plot, a rescue mission surfaces and lots of action sequences and cool stunts follow. The pacing is good, with lots going on throughout. I partucularly liked the rotaless helicopter, and the script's quite witty dialog. Over all I enjoyed the movie and would recommend it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/09/23 Full Review Audience Member A movie that had some great potential, but visual effects ruined it. I really liked the story line. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member A mashup of several greatly admired scifi films get ripped off by this film from The Asylum... and it actually kinda works. The Asylum isn't known for making great films but rather movies with lots of poor CGI, terrible acting, lame action sequences, and stories that seem like an eleven year old wrote them. And while Android Cop doesn't stray too far from the Asylum norm, it works thanks to a few key elements. Michael Jai White essentially makes this film work. His acting is above par compared to most films from the Asylum. Add to the fact that any sequences where he can show off his martial arts skills is quite good. In fact, they are the best thing about this film. And luckily, the films Android Cop steals from manage to go together quite well so the story isn't terrible. Android Cop isn't for the mainstream crowd but fans of low budget films that are quite cheesy and generally terrible by most standards will likely find this above par and very enjoyable as a result. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Lol. Actually, fairly decent for a horrible ScyFy/Asylum ripoff. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is so bad, I was hoping for the typical Asylum film where we could enjoy a fun movie and get some laughs. This movie failed to provide that or any other entertainment for that matter.
