Young Andy Hardy (Mickey Rooney) is off to college, but before he even makes it to campus, he meets an attractive woman, Kay (Bonita Granville), on the train. Steve D How did they rope poor Herbert Marshall into this? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/24 Full Review christopher c. m At the time of writing this review, this is my first Andy Hardy movie. I'm getting the feeling if this series came out a few years later, it would be a TV sitcom, as this story plays out like a sitcom. But stretched to nearly two hours for some reason. It is funny, like a good sitcom should be. But the run time makes the pacing slow. Plus there are character issues. I'm guessing a lot of the Andy Hardy franchise is similar, so if you're a fan of Andy Hardy, check this one out. But it's really not for everyone.
