This film is predictable, stereotypical, and has some plot holes that drove me nuts. Despite these shortcomings, the acting, practical effects, and healthy amount of gore still make the film fun to watch.

People go into the woods, and they don't come out. Add a man-eating whatsit, and you've got a horror movie. Not a very good horror movie. But, certainly genre fans get what they want, some old-fashioned blood-and-guts. Chomp, chomp.

Animal doesn’t bring anything new to the genre, but the production value and craftsmanship are above average, along with good performances, and a truly terrifying practical creature.

We've seen it all before. Six annoying people go into the woods and get eaten. The only thing that stood out about this movie was how unlikeable the characters were. Go ahead, eat 'em, I don't care.

It is absolutely irrational and horrendous piece of video. Calling it a movie is sin. Bad story. Bad acting. Bad direction. Bad cinematography. Bad message. Nothing is worth even 10 secs in the tehatre. Complete waste of money and peoples time.
