Calum Marsh Village Voice Just as it seems on the verge of yielding a nuanced view of the Holocaust's emotional and psychological fallout, Anita B. recedes into platitudes and clich. Apr 23, 2015 Full Review Indra Arriaga Anchorage Press The story in Anita B is rich but predictable, and for all the great themes layered throughout, Anita B is surprisingly monotonous. Audience Member Well, first off. Watching this in Italian is quite questionable, that why they shouldn't just stay it in their true voices rather than translating it in Italian, 'cause tbh I really love seeing them talking in English so I could barely see their true emotions in it. Nevertheless (in Italian) they spoke not so bad, but would quietly hard for some to find a subtitle. Anyway I just love it when it was acted by Robert Sheehan, he played his role very well as i always expected, while Eline Powell had a great fit for it and had well performed too. Spoiler Alert: In addition I would love it if Eli and Anita will stay together in the end of the film, or had a sequel that soon they'll understand each other and see their baby at last. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member A heartfelt and inspiring story of a Holocaust survivor that kept me engaged throughout the entire film. The film showcases her life after the Holocaust, and how she begins to create a new life for herself. I really enjoyed her story, and the acting in the film was lovely as well. I would definitely recommend this! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
