The background score really let down the movie. I felt it would have been a masterpiece if shortened and music was used more judiciously. Its definitely a must watch, but for me it hasn't reached that level of 'Satyajit Ray" films because of the length and background music. There are only a few minor clues to date the film. The characters are complicated and compelling.
