      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Stocked with leading men who look the part but lacking an iota of original plot, Annapolis is merely a watery shadow of superior seafaring military dramas.

Shay C I remember this movie on all the time when I was a kid. My family would watch it together over and over. It's pretty good. I suppose it's not very original, but seeing as I have no other reference, that works for me. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/17/23 Full Review joseph z Predictable plot, acting mediocre, lots of pretty men in uniforms. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This was a dismal, embarrassing and juvenile attempt at filmmaking from virtual every possible angle. The sole enjoyable moment of the movie was Vicellous Shannon's line about being not only the president of his weight-gain club, but also a client. The plotline was disjointed and indecisive. Presented as a military seafaring story, it quickly devolved into a bizarre amalgam of "Full Metal Jacket" meets "Rocky" littered with good actors doing terrible jobs, each acting as if they were delivering soliloquys in a high school chamber theater production starring only themselves. Cliche and predictable. I can't believe I sat through the whole thing. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Mike J Sonic and sonic the are they doing is great as well and they sonic is great in the dark Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/28/22 Full Review Audience Member It's like this movie was written by someone who attended the Naval Academy for their boxing program, dropped out from too many concussions then finished his undergrad at an online film school Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Pathetic. Cheap banal moral for minus habens. Probably it was written by a 4 years old hillbilly, Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Brian Tallerico UGO Annapolis throws the same punches as many of its inspirational fellow cadets and almost, but not quite, wins the fight. Mar 24, 2007 Full Review Scott Tobias AV Club ...basically a military-recruitment commercial.
