KerryWhite's S @KerryWhite77 09/28/2023 Rating: 6/10. 60/100 See more 03/09/2022 This was really really bad. See more 11/05/2018 Paranormal Entity 4. By far the worst of the series, so thats saying something. There were no scares and only very minor attempts to set a chilling vibe. It felt like a PG-13 version of the Anneliese story. About the only positives were the acting was good especially for such a low budget, and they kept pretty close to the actual true story. This could've and should've been a lot better. Even when taking into account how low budget it is. See more 03/05/2014 This film is part documentary about the exorcism case more famous in Germany. See more don s 04/23/2013 Another mockumentary of "found footage" b.s. This one is supposedly about the exorcism of a young lady named Anneliese Michel in Germany. There basically are no effects in this: some eye-black around her eyes, furniture moving by itself, and lots of demonic grunts and talk in German. You know it's real because the director tells you at the beginning, and some of the "footage" is shot in black and white (because we all know color film wasn't around in the mid 70's right?). The best part is when you watch a black screen and listen to minute after minute of audiotapes of the possession in progress, all in German of course - with no subtitles so you don't have a clue what is being said (your mother sews socks that smell!). Garbage. See more 12/08/2012 If you decide to watch "Anneliese" based on the claims of "actual footage" of an exorcism, then you've BEEN HAD. The prologue captions claim that this is REAL MATERIAL and that none of the footage has been doctored. What follows is a poorly scripted, badly acted and miserably directed documentary-style horror film that fails to horrify, for one thing, and utterly fails to convince, for another. I've seen better (and scarier) documentary-style offerings on The History Channel, which is also pure nonsense, of course. More than merely awful, "Anneliese: The Exorcist Tapes" is an embarrassment and waste of your time. See more Read all reviews
