Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com A well-intentioned disaster, only slightly redeemed by a committed performance by Sean Bean, whose talent proves nowhere near enough to make this manipulative tripe more digestible. Rated: 1/4 May 1, 2015 Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times A clich-ridden, heavy-handed redemptive drama written and directed by Rustam Branaman. Apr 30, 2015 Full Review Kate Erbland The Dissolve Branaman's script piles on low-level drama, bad decisions, and enough misdirection to make the film's baffling ending feel not just unearned, but entirely unbelievable. Rated: 1/5 Apr 30, 2015 Full Review Philip Martin Arkansas Democrat-Gazette An earnest, utterly predictable indie that wastes a couple of decent performances in service of a hackneyed and weak script ... Rated: 73/100 Jun 8, 2015 Full Review Mark Abraham Paste Magazine Everything in Any Day is portentous and presented as if it is loaded with meaning; none of it is, because everything is either so obvious or so arbitrary that nothing actually means anything. Rated: 3/10 May 7, 2015 Full Review Maitland McDonagh Film Journal International Any Day falls into the painfully crowded trough between not-bad and seriously not-good movies. K D I thought it was thought provoking and sweet with a touch of edginess and inspiration. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/21/23 Full Review anthony p I sometimes like films with dire ratings. In this independent film from 2015, Sean Bean plays an alcoholic who has been released from jail after serving a 12 year sentence for second degree murder. In a rather cliche filled film that is at times quite depressing there are comic relief moments regarding the accent that Bean utilizes. Its a hybrid Sheffield, U.K./U.S. accent that is reminiscent of Jason Stathams appalling accent, Kevin Costner in Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves and Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins! Bean faces the demons of his past and the film is called Facing Demons in the U.K. It reminded me of some bad films that I like. Superman IV, Jaws IV and Human Centipede! Bean looks rather haggard in some scenes but his performance does give the film some gravitas. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review roger g Couldn't watch the entire movie. It's really boring. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Like a bad TV movie. Predictable and riding a slide downhill. Not sure why Sean Bean made this, and perhaps in the can before GOT. Monotonous performances, waiting for what to happen? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This might be the most awkward movie I've ever seen. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The production is a little rough around the edges, Sean Bean's accent a little strange, and the child acting weak, but it's a fairly engaging story, if not a little predictable.
