Noel Murray Los Angeles Times What really makes the film stand out though (aside from some excellent creature effects) is Mitchell. She squeezes as much as she can out out of this slim story. Mar 15, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Delcat D Yes, it's a microbudget. But considering that yes, it's a microbudget, it's full of heart! Some of the scenes clunk a bit, but everyone is giving it their all, and the performances are either compelling or campy and fun. It's not meant to be modern horror, it's a creature feature, and the loving monsterwork is nothing to be missed! Full praise to a fun little movie with a lovingly crafted, genuinely creepy monster, and a protagonist you can really get behind. Love to Tina and Ike. MUCH love to whoever marked this in the Amazon blurb as "Horror--Suspense--Harrowing--Biting". P.S.: To the half-star reviewer who would like it if it was reversed roles...kinda sounds like a you problem, friendo. Maybe in the sequel? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I would have given it 4 stars had they gotten the roles in the correct order. The victim a divorced dad. The little bat creature a bitter, mean and relentless ex wife who is in love with kidnapping children. Do that, it's a 4 star, minimum. This? Nah... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Serviceable hex in a box story told rather nicely by Penelope Mitchell, who has a soft, quiet way of showing terror. You'll see the ending coming a mile away but it's still gratifying when it does. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I really wanted to give it five stars as a joke but then I realized I just couldn't. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member The biggest reason as to why I hadn't switched this movie off sooner was because of Penelope Mitchell's credible performance. It may have been the thing that saved this movie from complete humiliation. There was a whole concept there about this creature that feeds on the living while they sleep...Great...but where is it? What is it? And why should we wait to the very end to find out why all this crazy stuff is happening. I think halfway through the movie we all just accept the fact that it is what it is and we may never find out the meaning of it. I'd probably watch this again, It wasn't bad. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member My first clue should have been the very shoddy intro with the black and white freeze frame shots. Very cheesy Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/19/18 Full Review Read all reviews
