Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member very good and interesting russian production. story is solid although its already seen and its primarily love story. actors are great and action is pretty much also :) overall for a non-hollywood movie i rate it 4 (would have given a 4+ but there isnt any + here :D). oh yeah, great lead actress! sexy as hell :D Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member <i>Apocalypse Code</i> is an entertaining Russian action adventure from Vadim Shmelev.<p>Hovering at around 1 hour and 40 minutes, <i>Apocalypse Code</i> tends to fly by rather quickly. The pacing is moderate to quick as the scenes and locations come and go like that. While this does keep the film from dragging unnecessarily, it doesn't leave much room for depth in the story, which isn't that big of a deal. The story is linear and straight forward, but it does require some attention in the first half, because of the quick pace, to grasp onto what is happening.</p><p>There is a good amount of action and it is worthy of note. The editing and camerawork during the final fight is a tad on the unimpressive side, but it is still good.</p><p>Anastasya Zavorotnyuk is just gorgeous and her character fits nicely into the story. She looks confident in nearly everything she does. It is almost like watching a James Bond flick, but with a female lead. The rest of the cast is OK, with Vincent Perez pulling off a decent villain.</p><p>In the end, <i>Apocalypse Code</i> has an interesting enough story, good action, and a beautiful lead to make this a film for fans of action adventures.
