Critics Consensus

This farcical French comedy of errors is well-acted, but the absurdities feel too forced to make such a light confection work.

Remy 04/17/2022 This film has a high production value, but it is one of the least funny French comedies I have seen. Daniel Autueil is a fine actor who is reduced to being a masochistic fool by a loser who is a neurotic and an even bigger fool. The plot line is improbable, tortuous and leads almost nowhere. The neurotic embosses his grandmother's raincoat with the word SALOPE for breaking up his relationship - a tasteless attempt at ribald humor. And the ending falls flat, accompanied by the deliberate destruction of two cars. A total waste of time and talent. See more 10/18/2016 not much. it gets a pass because its a foreign film. if it was an American film everybody would say it stink to high heavens See more 12/20/2014 Amusing enough. Good soundtrack. Carried by Auteuil and Garcia. See more Frances H 03/20/2014 Funny and perfectly charming. Love Daniel Auteuil! See more 09/09/2012 Really loved this movie. Fun and entertaining. Auteil is fantastic here. See more Read all reviews
