Nicki W Slow by current standards, but a great magical fun adventure on flying carpets. And who doesn't love a monkey, Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Mickey Rooney and Capucine? Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I went to the cinema to see this when I was a kid and loved it. Time has not been kind! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Possibly perceived better at the time of its release, it certainly looks dated and tired nowadays. It is a kids film though so a younger audience may get something out of it still. For fans of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing collaborations this provides a tick in a box for one of their more obscure movies together. Derek Malcolm Guardian What collapses these skinflint versions of formerly glorious enterprises is generally the script. I won't tell you who wrote this, but I wish he hadn't. Nov 8, 2021 Full Review Philip French Observer (UK) The whole thing suggests a rather queasy confection that might be called Christopher Fry's Turkish Delight. Nov 9, 2021 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy The live-action Aladdin may boast a larger budget (make that far larger), but the entertainment value is of comparable quality; plus, this one offers Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing (sorry, Will Smith).
