Kelvin G Solid acting with some good scares and maintained the tension. Almost no story to explain how they got to the point where things really start. The monster design was interesting though they kind of reminded me of Tremors. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/24 Full Review Owen Just fell incomplete, I realized there will probably be a sequel but for the first part just seemed incomplete. Other than that, the movie was great Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Mr. Hollywood Nothing new here but the creatures are decent enough. Nicolas Cage is wasted here and the story has been done better before but overall not a bad way to waste some time Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review Michelle C I enjoyed this movie. Lots of tense moments and a couple of good jump scares. I would recommend seeing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/16/24 Full Review See A Lot The movie was interesting but sometimes confusing. Too much of the filming was nighttime scenes which were hard to make out. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/15/24 Full Review Zeke Kept us on the edge of our seats ! Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) [Director Benjamin Brewer] gets to show you his monster-making chops, and it's pretty effective I think. Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Eric Francisco Inverse While a mostly confident production from Brewer with flashes of awe-inducing brilliance — nearly all of it owed to its harrowing monsters — Arcadian is too unengaging to really raise hell, and too uninspired to stand tall in its crowded genre space. Apr 16, 2024 Full Review Tasha Robinson Polygon Once the film settles into a fairly standard chase-and-fight movie, its lack of character depth or nuance limits what the filmmakers can do to make this story stand out from all the past projects it echoes. Rated: 45 Apr 12, 2024 Full Review Jenn Adams Strong Female Antagonist Both harrowing and joyful, Arcadian expertly navigates a complex menagerie of emotions. One family forms as the makeshift clans of past necessity finally fall apart. Rated: Bt Apr 28, 2024 Full Review Steven Prokopy Third Coast Review Some of the ways the boys fortify and defend their home is inventive, and I’ve always been impressed by Martell as a thoughtful actor, but he’s given so little to do here, there’s little room to flex his acting muscles even a little bit. Rated: 2/4 Apr 25, 2024 Full Review Dolores Quintana Dolores Quintana With beautiful imagery, scary monsters, and strong performances, Arcadian is a winner as an individualistic kind of humanistic horror film that leans into the relationships between the survivors and their quirks rather than huge amounts of gore.
