Robbie Collin Daily Telegraph (UK) All in all, Archive is good, bleak, shivery fun, and however familiar some of its components may seem, it thrums with an intelligence that's anything but artificial. Rated: 4/5 Jan 21, 2021 Full Review Danny Leigh Financial Times For all the familiarity, the movie has the brio of good pulp and a neat surprise in store. Rated: 3/5 Jan 20, 2021 Full Review Anton Bitel Sight & Sound Rothery's soulful, at times surreal SF debut works on multiple levels as, certainly, a very modern ghost story but also as a paranoid thriller, a yearning romance and an introspective tragedy, full of hubris and catastrophe Jan 19, 2021 Full Review Jennifer Bisset CNET This accomplished sci-fi flick should be appreciated more widely. Mar 29, 2023 Full Review Dallas King Flick Feast One of the most visually stunning debuts of the year... The production design is outstanding with a welcome predisposition for practical sets and effects. Rated: 4/5 Nov 12, 2022 Full Review Rahul Desai News9 Live (India) A poignant cocktail of grief and science fiction. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 29, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Pete K It's an amazing film, full of wonders and surprises. I can, however, understand why some people wouldn't like it. It's rather slow paced and very emotional. No chase scenes or big space battles, just a lot of really interesting characters and a lot of very interesting ideas. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/25 Full Review Torin F ARCHIVE relies heavily on its ending to achieve any real coherence, and struggles to maintain engagement or believability during its rather long slog to get there. More a tale of obsession than romance. And while there's some cool set design, this is really a case of style over substance, and not in a way that the ending satisfactorily justifies. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/15/25 Full Review Barr y The negative “Audience” reviews make no sense to me. Absolutely lovely and poetic movie on so many levels. This is a romance not an action movie. So many great, complex ideas. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/25 Full Review Jose Raul B A original plot related to the use of AI after death to recreate the personality of a deceased loved one. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/25 Full Review Dennis M Just BORING. Slow and boring boring boring Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/07/25 Full Review Audience Member I don't give 5 stars often. It's a fantastic story, well acted, and visually- it was quite cool looking. A rare example that you don't have to spend a billion dollars to make an incredible movie. The movie was thoughtful, dynamic, brings up loads of interesting questions about life and mechanics and what makes a person a person. The ending was a masterpiece. A must own for any collection.
