Whole cast struggles with what was given to them although they are more than capable. Sad that something like this gets wasted. At the midpoint of the movie, I was unsure of what would happen next and that is the mark of a good story. The 3 main characters represent 3 different approaches to dealing with the unknown. I like the end of the story; I see other reviewers of this movie on RT do not and are left disgruntled. Quirky concept that is actually quite possible, someday. "How did people vanish" iunno "What does that have to do with the animals?" iunno. "Where did everyone go" iunno. And just as you think dots are connecting, GUNSHOT, ends. The story could stand alone I suppose, but with all these competent and talented people already on board, so to speak, it would be a shame to not enable their talent, including written and directorial, to have another opportunity to, dare I say it, continue and expand on such genre triumphs as The Thing, or the latest True Detective.
