Nick M Two con artists are conned by another in this snappy Harold Lloyd comedy short. This fits the tried-and-true formula of the age, but there is enough novelty in here that I found it very entertaining. Lloyd and Pollard make a great team, and Bebe Daniels is probably my favorite of all of the token females of the major comedic companies right now. "Crooks" is unusual in that for once Daniels isn't the object of anyone's affection. Rather, she ends up getting the upper hand in a scenario where sex has nothing of consequence to do with it.
