ashley h Are You Listening is an okay film. It is about a radio writer/producer who accidentally kills his wife and then attempts to escape an on-air hunt for him. William Haines and Madge Evans give decent performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Harry Beaumont did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the drama. It's a really wonderful drama about a radio man trapped in an awful marriage who falls in love with a coworker. By this point William Haines, former King of Hollywood, had fallen from the public's graces, but watching this movie I can't understand why. Madge Evans is his lovely leading lady, and the make a very pretty and charming couple. It also costars Anita Page and Karen Morley. So basically it's a cast of really underappreciated actors.
