Audience Member An absolutely atrocious movie filled with terrible dialogue, benal acting performances, poor editing and dismal set pieces. There is nothing engaging about this movie, and if it was meant as a statement piece, the only statement is that the filmmakers need to return to film school. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A blueprint to changing the narrative of the black experience thats universally relatable. It takes you on an unexpected journey that reveals an ending that is not obvious to predict. With close to a 2hr runtime, I still wanted more, but overall all it gives you a little bit of everything; comedy, drama, thriller, romance, and insight to a traumatizing condition thats rarely humanized especially in the black community. But to add to the value of this movie experience was Mario himself. He did a Q&A afterwards and he's the most gracious, giving, passionate, but overall genuine artist that you'd meet within his position in entertainment. I saw it in the theater but now it's online on iTunes so I'm going to watch it again with the FAM. #NewNarrative Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Very surprised at how ENGAGING I found "Armed" to be. Like many things in life, my need of a film being in my wheelhouse does not prevent me from appreciating the Artistry or Relevancy any Video Project brings to the table. I was surprised - and I not often am! Well worth the time + $$. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I read up on this film before watching it, and can honestly say I didn't know exactly what to expect. It had a lot going on, but it still managed to work. It's definitely a necessary message being relayed in that certain "laws" and such should be carefully looked at as we never know what could happen if various rights and such are taken advantage of. I think was only maybe 1 scene I would've changed, but overall I was thrilled with this film. It tied in a necessary political message while also exploring different kinds of mental illness, which I appreciate as someone who has a soft spot for those kinds of films. It also displayed a lot of factual statistics at the end regarding gun violence. As someone who's known people to suffer from the evil acts of others through gun violence, I actually got choked up when this was displayed. I would absolutely recommend this film to anyone. Just note: it's a wild ride unlike anything you've watched before. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Not what I expected. I kept thinking when is this going to be over. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/22/18 Full Review Audience Member I was happy to see a film that's topical and massively entertaining from the beginning to the end. Solid film making and likable characters! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Nick Allen RogerEbert.com I do take a little comfort in that Armed just may be an even bigger mess than the current state of our nation. Maybe. Rated: 1/4 Sep 14, 2018 Full Review Kevin Crust Los Angeles Times Whatever point Van Peebles is trying to make gets lost in all the noise. Sep 13, 2018 Full Review Adam Keller Film Threat Outlandish production design and even more outlandish editing give it its rhythm and energy. For every terrible special effect that looks like an AfterEffects plugin, there was an image that stunned me with its inventive, hyper-saturated vividness.
