Dan Jolin Empire Magazine A forgettable fantasy cheapie whose gruff earnestness feels hollow thanks to the unforgiveable thinness of its story and the weakness of its grip on its source material. Rated: 1/5 Jul 15, 2020 Full Review Susanna Norbiato Loud and Clear Reviews an entertainment product that is only partially successful [...] The movie does, however, present some interesting causes for reflection, which set it apart from the myth's origins and can make for an interesting viewing experience. Rated: 3/5 Sep 16, 2024 Full Review Sarah Cartland Caution Spoilers For a stripped-back Arthur, a character study of a king who has lost faith in himself and his role, there’s an awful lot thrown in here, without the time, budget or real insight to do it all justice. Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 5, 2022 Full Review Alix Turner Ready Steady Cut Arthur's jaded return home from battle, with a handful of knights and hope of still having a kingdom when he gets there. Poor adaptation of a great story. Rated: 1.5/5 Feb 10, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Justin B Another retelling of the Arthurian legend. There are a few interesting parts, but it never really got going. There are many better adaptations available. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/28/23 Full Review B M A high school level story. Poor writing, poor editing and no budget. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member This is the worst adaption I've ever seen. I usually love King Arthur movies but for them to do what they did in this movie is an outright disgrace to the legend. I even made an account here just to share this review. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Sadly this failed to hit any mark. They desperately clung to a popular story in hope it would capture people's attention but was clearly low budget due to the complete unknown names and dozen or so cast. There were no armies...weirdly, just the odd man holding a sword dotted about. The writing was poor and the story line was beyond weak. I absolutely love medieval, historic (albeit fantasy) stories and this was offensive to the potential the story had. It is like a school child wrote it and the classes' parents acted it out for them; with one of them having access to professional filming equipment... Sad. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member An expansive story, which this fails to describe on every level. The music is atmospheric though. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Arthur & Merlin: Knights of Camelot is becoming one of my favorite adaptations of the Arthurian legend on film. It is true to the spirit of Arthurian chronicle tradition, beginning with Geoffrey of Monmouth's History of the Kings of Britain, continuing with the Alliterative Morte Arthure, and concluding with the Thomas Hughes' Elizabethan drama, "The Misfortunes of Arthur". It stands in this tradition. You do not need to be an Arthurian to appreciate this film, however. It's a story about the ravages of war, PTSD, the journey home, and regaining self-control before confronting external obstacles. The setting and cinematography are great. There are some standout performances from the actors playing Arthur, Guinevere, and Mordred. The dialogue is, however, a bit clunky and vapid at times. The script could have done with a bit more polishing. Show this low-budget, independent film some love. It was made with love. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
