Everyone knows that, each Christmas, Santa Claus delivers presents to every last child on Earth. What everyone doesn't know is that Santa accomplishes the feat with a very high-tech operation beneath the North Pole. But when the unthinkable happens, and Santa misses one child out of hundreds of millions, someone has to save the day. It's up to Arthur (James McAvoy), Santa's youngest son, to deliver a present to the forgotten tyke before Christmas morning dawns.

One of the best Christmas movies ever made! Yes, Aardman's signature style of animation is not there, but it makes up for it with its unique storytelling and amazing cast. If a sequel were to be made in the future, I'd see it.

"Arthur Christmas" is really the definition of a Christmas movie that is perfect for the whole family. This is a clever spin on the Santa Claus mythology that is enjoyable, funny, and heartfelt. The movie has a simple enough story that warms the heart and is equally wacky and enjoyable. I liked the main character of Arthur and think that is what gives the movie its charm. I do feel some of the conflicts are actually pretty deep and complex, and I feel they may have been resolved a little too neatly, but I also don't want to be overly critical since it is a PG movie intended for all audiences. Overall, it is a nice and easy Christmas watch that adults can also enjoy with kids of all ages, which is a nice movie to have handy around the holiday season.
