Ed Potton Times (UK) The best that can be said of it is that there's nothing wrong with the glossy computer animation, but the plot is yawningly convoluted and, like many foreign-language animations, the script travels abysmally. Rated: 1/5 Aug 31, 2019 Full Review Mike McCahill Guardian The equivalent of the last comic on the shelf at the campsite supermarket: it may provide some distraction, but don't expect much. Rated: 2/5 Aug 29, 2019 Full Review David Stratton The Australian Devotees of the characters of diminutive Asterix and his hulking friend Obelix - and there are many - no doubt will celebrate that the latest film in the franchise is getting a cinema release, albeit a limited one. Rated: 3/5 May 31, 2019 Full Review Danny Brogan Common Sense Media Flat animated tale has moments of peril, cartoon violence. Rated: 2/5 Jan 17, 2020 Full Review Tom Beasley Flickering Myth A slightly dull, but ultimately likeable, animated tale that will probably do its job in keeping the kids quiet in the dying days of the summer holidays. Rated: 2/5 Sep 3, 2019 Full Review Brian Viner Daily Mail (UK) There's no subtlety in Asterix: The Secret Of The Magic Potion (PG) , a somewhat lumpen animation based on the French comic stories which are 60 years old this year. Kandy A I love the books, the movie animation is good BUT the music is so very, very BAD!! Like extremely bad. The worst bad ever! 1980's vibe for ancient gaul and roman times. Are you kidding me? It killed the film on every level. Totally absurd. Took a 4 star film to 1.5 stars. Not worth watching. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/17/24 Full Review Idan Charles L A fun kids movie, my favorite Asterix movie tbh Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review Necroa V This movie is fun. That's really it. Not like super amazing but for me it's awesome. The song they used is perfection though. I'll give em that. Some parts feel a bit lacking though and were drawn out too. The enemy is actually not that bad. Although later on he does kinda feel like not an enemy exactly. Yeah that's my review for this movie Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/01/23 Full Review Stephen C All ages admitted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Liam D It might not be the best movie starring the iconic animated duo but it still has the same fast animation and humour to make it entertaining Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/29/22 Full Review Audience Member Our family enjoyed this one as it was an entertaining and witty animated movie with a nice story Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
