Guy Lodge Variety “Atlantide” magnifies and aestheticizes a peculiar, socially vibrant subculture to such a degree that it bypasses vérité altogether en route to a kind of earthy surrealism. la eminance n an incredible mesmerising hot summer. one can feel the sweat and the silty water of the younger kids jumping of the vaporetto stops and is immediately at the outer parts of the venice lagoon, far away from where the tourists ever venture. wonderful imagery combined with a classic drama, this movie blew me away. oh and the soundtrack. one of the best films i have seen in years. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/21/24 Full Review Luca T This is a masterpiece for those who love Rohmer, Wenders, Kubrick, Boecklin, Haring and Mann. It's not for everybody, it's not always consistent but it's a pleasure for the eye and the brain. The scene of the manicure is something you won't forget, as well as the space odissey final in Venice. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews
