Chris @moobage Jan 8 How this movie has a score above 1% defies the laws of physics. Let's start with the plot. This is Jurassic park, but with sabertooth cats. The CGI is laughable, and so bad it's the only memorable thing about this movie. Spoiler* I'm going to describe the ending scene. The scientist who created the sabretooths is trapped behind a door whilst stood underneath a "statue" of a sabretooth screaming about how he created them, the cats are thumping against the door to eat him, loosening what appears to be an unrendered 3d model of a fang which looks like liquid gold from the statue. It falls down and impales the man as he stands there contemplating the reason why he never chose to work in McDonald's and contribute to society in some sort of meaningful way rather than making this movie. See more 03/27/2015 Great film. Very gory indeed to start. Plot very simple but slightly confusing as to role of the college students role in the film. Plot being 3 sabretooth are cloned. They start attacking people one by one. However a security breach by college manages to open ALL the sabretooths out. The company cloning is only opening it. See more 03/13/2014 A boring and the effect aren't good. See more 12/14/2013 I simply watched this movie because I enjoyed "Sabretooth" (2002) and Smilodon is one of my favorite animals. I even bought the both of them together before watching them. The film shows a group of college students touring an island with an upcoming attraction. Pretty much a zoo with live resurrected animals (Jurassic Park, anyone?). The attraction of Primeval Park is that there is a pair of actual Smilodon, animals that went extinct the very beginning of the Holocene era. But (like every other sci-fi film ever made), things go wrong and the cats are on the loose because of the bunch of meddling kids and their inquisitive minds. So the animation of the Statue was sub-par, I still enjoyed watching this film as it captured the awesomeness of the saber-toothed cat.
